MY BACKGROUND

I work with clients to address depression and anxiety symptoms, binge eating disorder, substance use, process addictions (such as shopping and internet use), and codependency. I can also help you challenge these concerns by developing individualized exposures and skills work.

I have a certification in yoga-informed therapy, and engage in ongoing training in various eating disorder, trauma and interpersonal issues. Additionally, my background in the arts give me an understanding of how the life, goals and identity of an artist may be different than those of a non-artist.

I believe that self-exploration combined with implementing specific goals and boundaries in one’s life allows for both understanding and forward movement. My approach draws on the acceptance, reflection, and high regard of person-centered and Adlerian therapies as well as behavioral change approaches of CBT and DBT. My work in yoga-informed therapy speaks to her holistic approach to the individual, and my belief that mental well-being benefits from noticing the mind-body connection.

My experience includes working with adults and emerging adults seeking to address anxiety, depression, eating disorders and process addictions. I’m particularly interested in the topics of codependency and self-worth. It’s important to look at how various choices, core beliefs, coping styles, and relationships, combined with any mental health or life challenges, are impacting you.

Additionally, I enjoy working with individuals in the fine and performing arts; her own art world background lends an understanding of how the life, goals and identity of an artist may be different than those of a non-artist. LGBTQIA+ ally.

I believe that it is important to look at how are various choices, self-beliefs, coping styles, and relationships, combined with any mental health challenges in your life, are impacting you. Are they moving you toward your personal values and goals? Can you readily identify what those even are?

Self-exploration combined with implementing specific goals, boundaries and structures in your life allows for both understanding and forward movement. Thus, my approach draws from behavioral change approaches of CBT and DBT modalities as well as acceptance, reflection, and high regard of person-centered and Adlerian therapies.
